Mixed Age Learning

This project set out to include adult learners in both Key Stage 3 and 4 classes of Spanish.  Building a mixed age language learning community had the joint aims of improving student motivation, attainment and behaviour as a result of their joint learning experiences with more mature learners and addressing the community cohesion agenda by offering language learning opportunity to locally-based adults in the community, thereby raising the profile of adult learning in the community, and language learning in particular.  The results were fascinating, positive and worthy of replication!

There were two schools involved in the initial project: Northgate High School and Comberton Village College.  For further information on the Northgate model, follow this link: http://languagesatnorthgate.wordpress.com/linkedupii/
